Dr. Jalil Belkamel, fascinated and inspired by the aroma of plants as a small boy, studied for many years achieving a doctorate in essential oils. Following his dream he created 'Le Jardin des Scenteurs'- an aromatic and organic garden nestling in the beautiful valley of Ourika near Marrakech, initially producing essential oils from the plants he grew there. He went on to form Nectarôme, launching a range of products combining traditional Moroccan plant knowledge with a modern slant on aromatherapy and natural skin care. The products created at their centre in Ourika use essential oils made from the plants in the garden and the finest natural ingredients. Their mission is to contribute to sustainable social and economic development and employ people from the region.
